Ralph Lauren

I have been so inspired by a recent interview with Mr. Ralph Lauren and Family. The setting was on his Double RL Ranch in Colorado. Amazing Location, Amazing Home, Amazing Man. I admire his message so much that he is inspired by a life style. His designs' are created to fit that life style. RL said along with his family- that building his brand has been "hard work..."

I truly feel that anything worth doing is worth doing right. Ralph Lauren gets it right every season.
I am inspired by all aspects of his classic style, but most of all his amazing hard work.

Monday is here- lets gets to work.

Declercq Passementiers

Declercq a wonderful French Passementry Company paid us a visit as well. Looking forward to placing these beyond beautiful trims in our clients homes. Here is their amazing history;
Declercq Passementiers' story began in 1852 with a very small trimmings factory located on rue Quincampoix in the heart of Paris. Generations of craftspeople have handed down their expertise and ancestral techniques, thus perpetuating the refined traditions of a trade that has become rare. Jérôme and Elisa Declercq represent the sixth generation of this family of trimming-makers and are currently writing the sequel to the story. They are dedicated to the innovation of their craft.

The Royal Wedding has come and gone...but you can still celebrate Kate's Beauty at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase in the room we designed inspired by the Royal Wedding during the month of May. Beautiful views of the bay and beyond at 2950 Vallejo Street San Francisco, California. No need to RSVP - the Showcase is open everyday in May except Mondays.

Atelier Pietro Seminelli, France

This morning, I enjoyed a wonderful presentation by Pietro Seminelli Atelier of France, set up by the French Trade Commission. Window Dressings are created entirely by hand in France of a talented work room of four fabricators. The designs are done to scale with wonderful geometric patterns entirely made out of pleats. The fabric is never cut or trimmed to create the pleats, just folded. Pietro is sending us a small collection of his custom fabrics and a few examples to be shown here exclusively at JFID. Please look for his work in our June Window here on Sacramento Street. Atelier Pietro Seminelli has many clients worldwide including Chanel and we are thrilled to be in such good company.
